I am Julie Whittle. I have a BSc Honours degree in Applied Psychology from the Institute of Art Design and Technology.
I am currently doing further study in UX design and research as it is an area in my Bachelors degree that I had a particular interest in.
I have a passion for blending psychology with technology to enable accessibility for all.

3rd Year Placement
As part of my placement module in 3rd year of college I worked on developing a word-cloud feature for a platform called Journal Mate. This was created in Figma.
As part of my placement module I also worked on developing an immersive reader feature for the platform Journal Mate. This was also created in Figma.
Journal Mate MRP
My MRP is based on the concept of measuring cognitive load in an online reading environment. I worked closely alongside my supervisor Marian McDonnell creating an experiment followed by a survey. My MRP was inspired by my 3rd year placement workshop. The study found that there was a significant difference in comprehension.
